Default Alchemist Idea

This class would really be an all around class, having access to most of the different types of skills. Here's an idea of what their attributes would be:

Arcane Arts (Primary Atrribute): Every 5 ranks, you gain one energy regen, every 4 Ranks, you gain 1 Health Regen-This attribute would have enhcantment spells, a few stances, a few chants, and some random spells too. (Still kinda iffy on how this should really work as a primary attribute).

Transmutation: No Inherent Effect-Skills in this attribute would be weapon spells , item spells, and PBAoE type spells.

Gauntlet Mastery: Increase chance to get a critical hit and double strike by 1%-Skills in this attribute would be gauntlet attacks, skills, and melee attacks.

Augory: No Inherent Effect-Skills in this attribute would most likely be chants, shouts, and a few hexes.

Weapon--Gauntlet--(11-22) Damage--Attack Speed would be similar to hammers and scythes--Martial Inscriptions and Upgrades--Double Handed

Armor--70 AL--Energy Regen +1--Energy +5--(Not Sure on Special Benefit for only 3 regen)

Here's an example of what their skills could look like.

Fiery Weapon--Weapon Spell--Transmutation
5 Energy--1 Sec Cast--10 Sec Recharge
Target Ally's attacks deal fire damage for 10...30 seconds.

Power Surge--Gauntlet Attack--Gauntlet Mastery
5 Energy--1/2 Sec Activation--4 Sec Recharge
If this attack hits, you hit for +10..30 damage.

Overwhelming Surge--Skill--Gauntlet Mastery
10 Energy--1/2 Sec Activation--10 Sec Recharge
You lose 2...5 Energy, target foe gains 3...15 energy, and takes 10 damage for each point of energy gained. If this would put foes energy over max, for takes 10 more damage for each point of energy you lost in this way.

Ether Shield--Item Spell--Transmutation
10 Energy--2 Sec Cast--30 Sec Recharge
Hold Ether Shield Vile for 10...30 seconds. You take 5...30 less damage while you hold this Vile.

Alchemic Pyre--Enchantment Spell--Arcane Arts
15 Energy--1 Sec Cast--15 Sec Recharge
If you are wielding a fire weapon, your next attack skill does +5...15 damage and hits all adjacent foes, and all adjacent foes are set on fire for 1...5 seconds.

Fiery Invocation--Spell--Transmutation
15 Energy--3/4 Cast--20 Sec Recharge
All nearby foes take 15...75 fire damage and are crippled for 3...15 seconds.

"Your Fate is Sealed!"--Shout--Augory
15 Energy--45 Sec Recharge
If any nearby foes are suffering from a hex or condition, they also suffer from a deep woud and bleeding for 3...15 seconds.

Remember though, these skills are just ideas and are probably not balanced, so try not to talk about them too much :P

I like the idea of an alchemist, infact ....

This and Mechanic type characters are the two most popular i think, ive seen several threads supporting this.

Nice skills description ^-^, except instead of hp regen i think you should get mana regen instead because alchemists are more mage/scientist type people so it would make a tad more sense i guess.

Sounds like a Sin with more defences cause of the Guanlet Mastery try taking out the Critical damage thing.
Try something different something unique that is not like any other class thats why we make CC to make ideas for the next class we would'nt like a class with same type of tactics in battle.
2 or 3 unique abilities and roles are fine enough for a CC.
Like you are able to AoE heal or cause AoE Condition and Degens.
And cause Contagious Degen Hexes andConditions.
Lastly this are just opinions for the attb.

I would love the idea of AoE heals, Conditions, Degen for the alchemist!

It could probably work something like this:

*alchemist casts transmutation*
Area within ear shot turns into lava for 10 seconds and sets all foes on fire+ cripples for 10 seconds

THE AREA AFFECT ORIGINATES AROUND THE ALCHEMIST, therefore, it cant be that unbalancing in pvp because the alchemist has to get up to the mob, to remedy this you could give the alchemist 60 armor or something so hes at risk.

Area of affect would work like healing spring except less duration, and doesn't need to be triggered, and is within earshot also.

Yea, I wanted to stray away from that, but still make the class a somewhat potent melee class, which is why it has half the chance to double strike, and attacks slower compared to an assassin. They would definitely be different from Sins though, as they have a lot more options in roles (like chants, weapon spells, shouts, items spells, and such).
I like the idea of causing AoE conditions and degens, but not so much healing, I think that is pretty much already covered by Monks, Rits, P-Gons, and Dervs.

I originally had it that way, but figured too much energy regen, might become overpowered, so I made it similar to the Derv, you get health and energy regen, plus they are technically a melee class.

Hehe, every 4 ranks is probably too much, id say every 9 ranks, therfore they can only get +5 en at max, not that bad ^_~.

Oh how would they look though?

PLease i hope it wouldnt look like ritualists ,_,

Im hoping for a cross between sin/mesmer, and their headgear could be a aura around their legs rather than their head like eles.
